This latest component for Vista FX3 adds a new dimension to diagramming and reconstruction > simulation!
Vista FX3 now offers the SMAC ( Simulation Model for Automobile Collisions ) tool as an integrated component. For the first time, Vista FX3 users will be able to not only perform linear momentum analysis, and 3D animation, but also perform collision scenarios predictions. You can now animate the vehicles into the collision area, and watch as SMAC predicts the post impact motion and crushes the vehicles.
The SMAC Simulation component is a tool to simulate the motion of vehicles based on input parameters from you including impact speeds. The SMAC Simulation tool will assist you in verifying your reconstruction analysis of impact speeds or disproving another expert's results. Your impact speeds can be speeds you generated via a linear momentum analysis or speeds proposed by witnesses or another expert. You will set the parameters of the vehicles individually, although most parameters will be automatically set because SMAC Simulation is directly linked to the Vehicle Specs Database which is included with the Vista FX3 product.
Damage display
 SMAC calculates damage profiles using inserted parameters, damage is calculated using the 6Point Crush profile method.
In animations the damage gets displayed at point of impact resulting in visually captivating and accurate simulations. |
